London meets Paris at Eccleston Square Hotel.
Eccleston Square Hotel is serving a new style of Afternoon Tea: a French inspired Afternoon Tea with sweet and savoury treats from a selection of sandwiches to cakes, pastries and scones, as well as a great choice of loose teas. Not to get it mixed up with "French Afternoon Tea"….the unique Afternoon Tea 'A La Parisienne' consists of a selection of sandwiches, a variety of classic homemade French pastries such as Apple Tarte Tatin, Millefeuille, Macaroons and Financiers. As always, you will also find warm scones served with clotted cream and jam, and a choice of some of the most fragrant and delicious teas.
Have your unique Afternoon Tea experience where Princess Victoria once lived…
A former secret royal residence and neighbor to Winston Churchill, 37 Eccleston Square now Eccleston Square Hotel, was once the home of Princess Victoria, the Grand daughter of Queen Victoria and wife to Prince Louis of Battenburg. At a time when Afternoon Tea had not yet been prominent in day to day culture, Queen Victoria would occasionally visit her granddaughter for tea, which she later introduced to London society after she had experienced it at the house of the Duchess of Bedford. This means the house, now the hotel, was probably the first place in London outside normal Royal circles to have experienced the Afternoon Tea ceremony, which to this day is one of the main features of the hotel.
Eccleston Square Hotel is located heart of London and is just a 7 minute walk from Victoria Tube Station.
Afternoon Tea is served 12:30pm - 4pm on Saturday & Sunday
