About
Situated in the heart of Canterbury, within ancient city walls, ABode Canterbury offers the perfect place to enjoy Afternoon Tea after a busy day enjoying the shops, historic sites and traditional architecture.
The ABode Canterbury is centrally situated within the shadows of the world-famous cathedral in the wonderfully historic city of Canterbury. Just a few minutes’ walk from a multitude of city car parks or the two city train stations, the ABode has been of service to discerning customers for over a hundred years.
The celebrated Afternoon Tea served across the ground floor, including the beautifully crafted Champagne Bar with its original wooden beams and open fire, allows guests to sit and people watch on the bustling Kent high street.
Freshly prepared sandwiches with traditional fillings complement mouthwatering savoury pastries which provide the perfect foundation to feast on warm scones with clotted cream and sweet preserves. For those guests who find that the delicate sweet pastries and cakes are simply too much to finish, accept one of our perfectly sized boxes in which to take your treats home to savour later on in the day.
An array of loose-leaf teas, supplied in tandem with our partners at Newby Teas perfectly complete a truly wondrous affair at the ABode.
