All aboard for family-filled fun with The Railway Children Return at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel this summer. In celebration of the arrival of the new film, in cinemas from July 15 and long-awaited sequel to one of the most beloved British family films of all times, children and adults alike can now re-live their most cherished childhood story through a train themed Afternoon Tea.
Indulge in a selection of sweet and savoury delights, including Green Apple, a tasty apple mousse coated in white chocolate and sprayed green, inspired by the apple green steam locomotive featured in the original 1970 film, Train Track Delight, a chocolate biscuit inspired by traditional train tracks that are still used today, Welcome to Yorkshire, a rhubarb and curd tart created in homage to the film’s Yorkshire countryside setting and a Station Clock pastry consisting of an orange cream-filled macaroon, in homage to all pocket watches worn by station controllers, and timely train arrivals and departures.
All pastries are served alongside freshly baked scones and delicious savoury sandwiches, including East Anglia crab and Marie Rose sauce on a brioche bun, a mini Homity Pie made up of potato bread, spring onion, cheddar, a honey roast ham & mustard sandwich and Welsh rarebit with Pale Ale & Quicke's on buttery cheddar toast. The Afternoon Tea options consist of two versions for adults and children to accommodate picky palettes.
The Railway Children Return Afternoon Tea is available Thursday - Sunday from 1pm – 5pm until mid-September. Afternoon Tea starts from £46pp for adults and £25pp for children up to the age of 12.
