See London from two very different vantage points when you combine a visit to The View from The Shard with a Vintage Afternoon Tea Bus Tour for Two.
Your treat begins as you ascend 800ft into the sky in the 'kaleidoscopic' lifts of Western Europe's tallest skyscraper. Make your way to level 72 where you can enjoy unobstructed 360 degree views from the open air viewing platform, and marvel at this incredible feat of engineering designed to be a 'vertical city' in the air. Use the interactive touch screen telescopes to interpret the view, and see if you can spot the location of the next part of your treat!
Safely back on terra firma you'll be seeing London from on the move next, as you jump aboard the B Bakery's converted double decker bus. Once a humble 1960s Routemaster, this unusual venue is now a stylish vintage-inspired tea room on wheels serving a delightful array of decadent teatime treats. You and your guest will enjoy a medley of freshly cut sandwiches and savouries, delicious scones served with cream and jam, and a generous plateful of mini cup-cakes, macaroons and sweet pastries. All accompanied by tea or coffee that arrives at your table in special B Bakery cups. Enjoy the views and the feast on this lively London-themed experience.
You will need to pre-book both parts of your experience but feel free to enjoy them in either order. For The View from The Shard we suggest you arrive ten minutes before your allotted time to shorten the time spent in any queues. Your experience begins as you make your way to the speedy kaleidoscopic lifts to the 68th and 69th floor and see London like you've never seen it before. If you're feeling adventurous go all the way up to level 72 and the open top viewing platform for uninterrupted 360 degree views.
For the Vintage Afternoon Tea Bus Tour you'll need to board the converted Routemaster bus at Northumberland Avenue, just off Trafalgar Square. Enjoy a slow meander around the city's famous sights on a tour that is scheduled to take about 1 hour 30 minutes. En route enjoy a delicious afternoon tea of savoury and sweet treats from the famous B Bakery kitchen.
