Afternoon Tea Awards 2025 - 'Award of Excellence'
Executive Pastry Chef Mark Perkins has introduced an new Art Afternoon Tea series, drawing inspiration from one of history's most beloved painters - Claude Monet. Available Monday to Sunday from 12pm to 5:45pm, the experience invites guests to immerse themselves in the world of French Impressionism, where each course pays homage to Monet's most iconic works.
Rosewood London's quirky interiors reflect the British capital's history, culture and sensibilities, featuring the works of some of the world's most renowned artists, with contemporary pieces complemented by more traditional art throughout the Hotel.
The experience begins with a refined selection of savoury bites. Guests can look forward to a camembert custard tart with pear chutney, a delicate lobster & prawn profiterole with Dijon mayonnaise & lemon zest and King's imperial caviar on a brioche.
The second course brings a timeless Afternoon Tea classic - freshly baked scones served with English strawberry jam, clotted cream and homemade lemon curd. These are accompanied by a pre-dessert of lemon & vanilla madeleines with jasmine tea cream, a gentle nod to Monet's love of the French countryside.
The experience finishes with three art cakes, each inspired by a specific Monet masterpiece. The Water Lily Pond is a pistachio delight layered with morello & griottine jelly, cherry blossom whipped pistachio ganache and matcha chocolate decorations. Impression Sunrise takes the form of an almond sponge balanced with yellow peach & vanilla jelly, raspberry gel and vanilla mousse on an almond florentine biscuit. Finally, Woman with a Parasol is brought to life through a vanilla madeleine sponge paired with white chocolate namelaka, apricot vanilla jelly, Emperors 7 Treasures tea ganache and apricot mousse, finished with a pistachio crumb and a signature green chocolate parasol.
Priced from £80 per person, with options to include a cocktail, Wild Idol 0%, or a glass of Billecart-Salmon Champagne, the Claude Monet Inspired Art Afternoon Tea is to enjoy available daily.
A modern classic within a charming 1914 Edwardian heritage property, Rosewood London is situated near Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House, West End theatres and the main shopping districts.
