About
Alexander House is a magnificent mansion set within its own secluded 120 acres of parkland, including a gently sloping valley which forms the head of the River Medway.
Records trace the estate from 1332 and parts of the current house date from the 17th century. The house retains many original features with open fires and the 15 acres of manicured gardens are full of wisteria, roses, heathers and topiary.
From homemade bread and preserves for our delicate finger sandwiches to an array of decadent desserts, Afternoon Tea at Alexander House is a regal affair. Everything edible is created in-house by their pastry chefs and they source only the finest of Champagnes and quirkiest of teas (from Brighton-based tea company, Hoogly) to ensure every mouthful goes down a treat.
