Review: Masterful Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London

by The AfternoonTea.co.uk Team

The Afternoon Tea experience at Rosewood London is truly a feast for the senses. From the moment you step into the elegant surroundings of the hotel's iconic Mirror Room, you are transported into a world of refined luxury and indulgence.

The tea room itself is incredibly elegant and adorned with subtle hints of art, linking to the theme of the Afternoon Tea, but it's not just the aesthetics that make the Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London so special—it's the impeccable service and attention to detail that truly elevate the experience. From the warm welcome by the attentive staff to the expertly curated selection of teas and treats, every aspect of the service is executed with precision and grace.

The Afternoon Tea is served in courses, and placed in elegant frames placed on the centre of the table. The first course arrives -  a tempting assortment of sandwiches. Including a delicate assortment of finger sandwiches, brioche buns and a canape, they were all delicious with flavours ranging from Beef Sirloin with Purple Mustard to Smoked Salmon with Creme Fraiche.

The scones follow, served warm with a choice of lemon curd or English strawberry jam to accomany the clotted cream. I have had my fair share of scones, and these are some of London's best. The perfect texture - they are truly delicious.

But it's the pastry selection that truly steals the show. A pre-dessert course is served including a two sponge based desserts representing art from David Hockney and Dali. Lastly the patisserie selection arrives. Filled with intricately decorated pieces inspired by Van Gogh to Banksy, they are as delicious to savoury as they are beautiful. Each sweet treat is a work of art in itself, showcasing the skill and creativity of the hotel's talented pastry chefs.

Indulging in Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London was an exquisite experience from start to finish. The elegant ambiance, accompanied by impeccable service, set the stage for a delightful afternoon. Each meticulously crafted treat was a masterpiece, both visually stunning and bursting with flavor. From the traditional scones served with clotted cream and jam to the inventive pastries, every bite was a culinary delight. The tea selection was extensive, offering something for every palate. Overall, Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London exceeded all expectations, making it a truly memorable and luxurious experience worth savoring.
