About

The Langham, London’s new Afternoon Tea celebrates the hotel’s unique heritage as the birthplace of Afternoon Tea during the Victorian era. The Langham, London was the first hotel to serve Afternoon Tea commercially in 1865 and we are very proud to serve our modern interpretation of it.
Everything from the design of the crockery, tea stands and menu curation takes inspiration from our Victorian roots.

To begin, guests will be introduced to the history of Afternoon Tea and the hotel’s pivotal role in that story, whilst enjoying a glass of bubbles. Enjoy a delectable Vegan Afternoon Tea in the iconic Palm Court at The Langham. Tuck into carefully crafted plant-based sandwiches, followed by their signature sweet treats.

Served on bespoke chinaware by British designer William Edwards, the tea service features floral motifs reflective of 19th century designs. In partnership with JING Tea, a selection of teas have been tailored to complement the menu, comprising of The Langham’s own Breakfast blend, Darjeeling 2nd Flush, Phoenix Honey Orchid and Jasmine Silver Needle. Adding to the experience, a new cocktail list has been created to compliment the afternoon tea, with the flavours of Earl Grey, Rooibos and Hibiscus, Matcha and Chai, infused into an array of tempting serves.

Set in the heart of the Capital, The Langham, London is just a 5-minute stroll from Oxford Circus Underground Station.
