The Bettys story started in Harrogate exactly 100 years ago. Much has changed since then but at least two things remain the same: the Afternoon Tea treats are just as delicious and the welcome is just as warm.

Many consider Bettys to be the home of Afternoon Tea and people travel from all over the world for a once-in-a-lifetime visit.

At Bettys York, the reservation-only afternoon tea is served in the Belmont Room, a beautiful, historic suite with design features based on the Queen Mary passenger liner.

The menu is inspired by Bettys' best-loved patisserie treats and tea room specialities. You can add sparkle to the occasion with a glass (or two) of champagne, and they offer delicious alternate versions of the menu for children, vegetarians, vegans, and those following a gluten-free diet.
