About

Created to satisfy the palates of all who prefer savoury to sweet, this Afternoon Tea sees our talented chefs transform every aspect of our menu, including our patisserie, into decadent and decidedly savoury masterpieces. Highlights include the delectable Lobster Cocktail Tart, as well as the Wild Mushroom Profiterole.

One of London's most famous destinations for Afternoon Tea, the history of Fortnum & Mason reaches back to 1707 and since that time it has specialised in providing the finest produce and service.

New for January 2026 and available in the tea salon is our new Botanical Blends tea selection. A collection of intriguing infusions, created by Fortnum’s in partnership with Chelsea Physic Garden, London’s only botanic garden devoted to the study and propagation of medicinal and herbal plants. Some might even call them magical...

Afternoon Tea is served in the relaxed and elegant surroundings of The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon opened in 2012 by Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses the then Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge.

As a retreat from London's hustle and bustle, The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon is ideal, with dining table or sofa seating, a serene ambience and panoramic vista of Piccadilly, enhanced by the peaceful piano playing in the background.
